The atmosphere of something new has a certain softness and awakens the senses. A wedding is a memory like a dream. The flowers depicted in the collage “Wedding” have their own luminosity and vibrancy, they praise sensual life. The horse symbolizes eternal friendship and trust.

In the collage “Laura”, the surreal and mysterious side of female representation is staged. The fascinating face of a woman and that of a little girl that appear in the picture cancel out temporality. By applying several filters and patterns to the same original image, Britta Dietsche creates two different collages, each with its own unique atmosphere.

“Act X” is an exploration of the intimate sphere. Beauty that is fleeting and ephemeral, an epitome of subjectivity. This collage stages the presence of the viewer; a beautiful woman enjoying the moment, wild and free, letting herself drift with life, without regrets and without looking back.

The search for identity has changed, Generation Y, the so-called digital natives, are changing the foundations of identity through new technologies. Cultural practices including language, gender or ethnicity and lifestyles combine and intermingle. The pace of change is fast and continues to accelerate. Nevertheless, the longing for beauty, freedom and love is always present; in the collage “Identity”, this is shown by the soft colors of the blue hour.
